Aldehyde naming note
“Aldehyde C14” and “Aldehyde C18” are traditional trade names for gamma-undecalactone and gamma-nonalactone. Chemically, both are lactones and are therefore listed in the Lactone Aroma Chemicals guide, rather than in the aldehyde product lists above.
